for the past 3 weeks i’ve been using ai as my coach.

my physique feels stronger, my head clearer, my sleep better (finally!)

what started as a simple chat window turned into two things:

  1. a design process exploring how ai fits into long-term habits
  2. a training system that doesn’t just write a program, but acts like a partner

this thread is the step-by-step of how it all came together 🧵

starting point

i’ve started from 0xDesigner’s prompt here, gave all the answers, asked for instructions and program md files, set up a project. result was impressive, detailed and thoughtful.

then i compared my results with the example from 0xDesigner (end of his thread), and realised mine was way more generic. assuming we started from the same prompt it meant i wasn’t specific enough. but what should i ask for?

i added some details, answered more questions and got an upgraded project. prompted it for the first session in the gym. looked decent, but missed one thing: i couldn’t understand a word it was saying.

since training methodologies are one of the most discussed and heated topics online i was confident that gpt could deliver a good enough training plan for my goals / level. so putting that aside, what i needed to design was not the core program but the experience of my training.
